Week 8 Post 2

I'm late on this post due to my brain being on Spring Break mode and forgetting about this blog, however; here is my post:  Visual media works best, I believe, for the type of business I created. Interior Design is all based on looks and in order to get clients, a designer's work must be good. Instagram allows for followers and those searching for a good interior designer to see the work of many designers. Instagram gives the option of live videos, highlights, and posts to give their viewers multiple options to view their designs and latest projects.  One business that is local in Encinitas called Design 4 Corners and their Instagram is called sistersof4corners. They have 14k followers and post daily. They use Facebook as well and post the same. Their last post was 16 hours ago. Their likes compared to their followers don't match up because they average between 100 to 300 likes per post and they don't receive a lot of comments on their posts. They post their inspira

Week 8 Post 1

I believe Instagram would work best for my service because it would allow me to display pictures of my work. There's one billion active users on Instagram and many follow their favorite businesses. I think that Instagram would allow me to reach many users and other Instagram pages, especially with the hashtag feature. Since my business is interior design, the visuals of my work is very important which would also allow Pinterest and Snapchat to work best. I could provide videos on my story on Snapchat for friends and subscribers to view what was accomplished that day of work. Pinterest would allow me to create boards of the different projects I do and give viewers a chance to see what style I worked with, what material, and how the final results looked. I think Instagram would be the absolute best to display my business's activity since there are so many users and Instagram is become such a popular app for everyone to be using.

Week 7: Project Activity

Above is a screenshot of my upcoming activity. I chose to do an introductory post to thank the users who have liked my page and to let them know what to expect. My second post includes an image to allow people to see what they can expect in future posts. I think this will really engage people who are following me to stay interested in visiting my page since it is an open project. Lastly, I did a Check-In post to depict what a day can look like for an interior designer since it's not always in the office or at a client's home. I included a question in hope to engage answers and feedback.

Week 7

The businesses I chose to like are Architecture & Design, Interior Design Magazine, Luxe, Restoration Hardware, HGTV, Joanna Gaines, and Pacific Sotheby's International Realty. I chose these businesses because they all fall in the same category of my business and play a big part of it. Architecture & Design, Interior Design Magazine, and Luxe are three pages that I've always personally been interested in. I chose the three because they are inspirational with their feature works in the magazines. They also will have content that goes along well with my business plan. I liked Restoration Hardware because they provide great tools/decor so it'll have content that my followers will be interested in when I share their posts. I chose to like HGTV and Joanna Gaines since Joanna is a great interior designer and I can definitely share her posts since many people are obsessed with her and her show. HGTV is a design channel that must be followed since they offer multiple ways t

Week 6: Facebook Page Vocabulary

The difference between post reach and post engagement is that post reach is how well you're getting your product, business, or service out there. The advertisement or whatever marketing tool is being use is allowing your business name to spread. It means getting your name or product in people's conversations. By reaching people, you can create a bigger fan base for your business. Post engagement measures the interactions beyond views on a business's profile. It includes clicks, likes, shares, and comments. Knowing the difference is important because many can mistake having a high reach as having a good, popular profile but the engagements are much more important. The engagements are what will determine how popular a page/profile is.  Businesses can use these insights to better serve their customers by tracking the trends of engagements and reaches. A business can see what style of post is most interesting to viewers which can help in the future by posting similarly to ma
